What we see here
New construction slabs in Lakewood are usually clean but need grinding all the same, because the smooth trowel finish does not give a coating anything to hold onto. We grind every floor.
Near the water we check moisture carefully and we use a system that shrugs off sand and salt. Beach sand is abrasive, so we recommend a flake finish with a slip-resistant top layer for garages that see it daily.
Many houses rebuilt after Sandy have raised garages with new slabs, which are some of the easiest floors we coat.
