Garages around here

Bergen and Passaic have a lot of attached two-car garages from the sixties and seventies with slabs that were never sealed. They are usually sound but dusty, with a few shrinkage cracks and oil stains where cars have sat for decades. Those are good candidates for grinding and coating.

Closer to the river, in Hudson County and parts of Essex, we see more tuck-under garages and basement garages in older houses. The slabs there are more likely to hold moisture, so we always test before we quote, and we tell you if the floor needs a moisture barrier first.

Road salt is the other thing. Cars bring it in from November to March and it eats bare concrete. A coated floor rinses clean.
